Dentisry is the profession or science that focuses on the prevention and treatment of dental diseases and malformations of the teeth, gums, and oral cavity. Dental Health also known as Oral Health, covers the overall health conditions of the teeth, gums, pulp and dental tissue. An oral pathologist investigates the causes of diseases influencing or modifying oral structures such as teeth, lips, cheeks, jaws, portions of the face and neck. Oral pathologists perform biopsy dissection and then do a microscopic analysis of biopsy samples using stains.
